I have always been attracted to foreign travel and experiences from my first "grand tour" of Europe with Sr. Mary Frances, Miss Ambrister and my classmates from Mount de Chantal Visitation Academy in 1985, to trips to Latin America with friends and family during my college years, to my immersion language programs and dissertation research in Poland,1994-1997.
I was a Fulbright Scholar at Sliesian University, Cieszyn, Poland, 1995-96, and taught Political Science at the Centre for North American Studies at the University of Łódź, 1996-1997. I taught at AHA International's London Centre Program in 2007.
I spend time in Europe as often as I can - spending summer 2015 planning a Faculty-led Study Abroad Program in Poland and Germany and January 2016 in Russia learning the language, observing the culture, studying Russian art history, making new friends and developing connections with Russian political scientists.
I have presented at international academic conferences in Canada, Poland, Germany, Italy, and Spain.
