Interests

I love  traveling, especially to post-communist societies.  Siberia, the Central Asian Republics and Mongollia are the top of my bucket list right now.  
 My favorite artistic movements and genres are:  Art Nouveau and Arts & Crafts,, Slavic folk art and handcrafts, Central Asian textiles and tiles, the Peredvizhniki, Socialist Realism and poster art, and contemporary photography.   Check out r/ArtefactPorn on Reddit.  It's my jam.

I enjoy the outdoors, especially rambling in the Rockies with my pooch, Josephine.
